Get writing! If you have the opportunity you could join me in writing postcards to Wolfgang Kiessling the owner of Loro Parque. The address is:
Av. Loro Parque,
s/n 38400 Puerto de la Cruz
Canary Islands
If you would like to see more of the postcards I've sent over the years:
Also we can write letters to the CITES Secutariate. This is basically the international organisation that allowed for Morgan to be taken out of the sea initially and then again before she was transferred to Loro Parque from the Netherlands.

CITES Secretariat
Palais des Nations
Avenue de la Paix 8-14
1211 Genève 10

In the permit they granted they made specific stipulations for Morgans treatment. Just for two brief examples they specified that Morgan should not be put on display and that she she should not be bred with. Both of these were ignored and you might like to ask the Secretariat why there have not been sanctions made on Morgans behalf.

Some great books and movies:
- Beneath the Surface - by John Hargrove A great expose of SeaWorld and the reality of life for captive orca.

- Whale Nation - by Heathcote Williams - A captivating and beautiful tribute to the cetacean nations. I literally treasure my copy of this book given to me by my friend Sue Finn.
- Blackfish - directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite. This movie illuminates the horrors of captivity for one very iconic orca called Tilikum who died in captivity in January of 2017. My friend Megan and I went to the London premier and were a mess by the end.
- The Cove - directed by Louie Psihoyos. The captivity industry is linked directly to the dolphin hunts in Taiji, Japan. The Cove is heartbreaking but life changing so defo a must watch!
Protest - Ordinarily I would invite you to join the annual and peaceful global event called EMPTY THE TANKS WORLDWIDE. However due to the pandemic the protest last year was cancelled and things don't look great for this years (but tbc). Find out more at:
